BMRI MyGAP
Date : 16 - 17 July 2024
Venue : Aquaculture Incubator, Borneo Marine Research Institute, Universiti Malaysia Sabah
Introduction
MyGAP, or Malaysian "Good Aquacultural Practices," is essential for hatcheries to ensure the quality and safety of their products. Implementing MyGAP standards guarantees that hatcheries adhere to specific guidelines in areas like hygiene, animal welfare, and environmental sustainability. By following MyGAP, hatcheries can improve the overall quality of their products, minimize risks of contamination, and enhance consumer trust. These practices also promote sustainability, ensuring that hatchery operations are conducted in a manner that preserves natural resources and minimizes environmental impact. In essence, MyGAP certification is crucial for hatcheries to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability in operations especially during the implementation of HICoE program.
