Basic Aquaculture

Introduction
This course offers a comprehensive approach to basic aquaculture management focusing on the responsible and sustainable methods in aquaculture. The management of fish in the hatchery, ponds, cages and other culture systems is highlighted covering all stages (broodstock, larval, juveniles and grow-out stage). Management of fish nutritional needs and planning suitable feeding regimes according to species will also be discussed. Disease and fish health management is addressed covering common pathogen, type of disease and the appropriate use of treatment in aquaculture.
